Man 1.2 vs 1.7 experience.

So my first hammock I made out of mtn 1.7. I love it. This time I tried the 1.2 version. It is much softer and has some give, but not too much. For a lightweight, wide hammock I can’t imagine any better material. For home, it is a tougher choice though between the two. I like the stiffness of the 1.7 better overall, but prefer the softness of the 1.2. Both seem durable. The 1.7 is a lot easier to sew, but both are manageable even for a beginner like me. Honestly, just buy both and make two hammocks and give away the one you don’t prefer.

Great little bear bag kit

This is a great little kit. Has everything you need to do the job and the video tutorials make it easy. I find DCF to be easier to work with than silnylon or similar. Super excited to put it to use.

0.5 vs. 0.9 Noseeum Mesh

Made same size Hammock Bug netting of both 0.5 and 0.9 Noseeum Mesh of which the numbers already tell the obvious. Stuffed down it really shows on photos. It is half the size and for a bug net which I barley use, size matters which also reflects on the weight.
Yes, 0.5 oz bit funnier (time consuming and patience needed) to sew but worth it, especially that 0.5 oz finished hammock bug netting doesnt exist on the market.

Great product, needs options

I recently purchased the hipbelt pocket kits in Dyneema to add to my Dyneema backpack. However, I wanted the zippers to be on top, not the sides. The website only shows how to make these pockets with the zipper on the sides, so I had to make a mockup in paper to get it right. The finished product was excellent and looks just like the purchased product, minus the little company logo.

Loved the grid pattern on the fabric

The grid pattern on the fabric made it easy to make straight cuts resulting in a square waterproof tarp.

Dyneema With custom colors

We ordered some fabric in pink and green of Dyneema DCF 1.43oz for our production of Wingfoiling Wings. The colors looked great and were a big hit with our customers @fiveowindsports.com. We will try some new colors for our next batch. It great to have color options beyond what the fabrics normally were available in. Hats off to RBTR making this an option !!

Best fabric for Ultralight blanket

Worm, breathable , and very lightweight.

Fun project!

It took me about an hour to watch the video and create my first roll top dry bag. Everything was included in the kit and the online video was easy to follow. The second one took about 30 minutes. Now I have 2 perfect sized bags for backpacking. P.S. I am new to sewing and have only sewed a few stuff sacks as practice. This is an easy project for a beginner.

Great for pack pockets!

This stuff sews great and works really well for pack pockets. It has enough stretch but is tough and won’t snag on everything. Highly recommend for your pack!

ECO4EVA

I've been using ECO silpoly for 2+ years and highly recommend it if you want a lightweight, highly compressible material. Would recommend.

Tape stuck!

Used the tape for a tent seam repair. It stuck to the old nylon well. I did use a seam roller to put pressure on the tape.

Great Product, Good range of Options

I have found that overall the material stands up to a beating, and has amazing strength to weight ratio. On that note, it is also very difficult to cut, scissors will not do… make sure you have a good snap-off knife and cutting mat, even a rotary cutter is not sufficient and will dull after a few cuts. I recommend this as the latest and greatest dealer-available material; to be used on backpacks, and accessories.
